Middlesex Savings Bank pledges $250K to library expansion

Middlesex Savings Bank announced that it will make a $250,000 gift to the Concord Free Public Library Corporation’s “Connecting Our Community” campaign, a $10 million plan to expand and renovate the library.

A significant portion of the gift from Middlesex will be directed toward the project’s entrepreneurship center, the workshop. The workshop will provide free programming and resources in a flexible, dynamic space where people of all ages are encouraged to be innovative thought leaders.

Offering classes, business plan competitions, mentorships and program support, the workshop will provide a place for people to connect and share their knowledge, wisdom and guidance with anyone who wants to learn to take business risks or create something new.

“We are thrilled by Middlesex Savings Bank’s support,” said Sherry Litwack, president of the CFPL Corporation. “Their long history of serving the community as well as being leaders in business innovation and entrepreneurship will help us achieve the library’s goals for the 21st century.”

“Middlesex Savings Bank is proud to be a lead donor in the effort to renovate the Concord Free Public Library,” said Mike McAuliffe, president and CEO of Middlesex Savings Bank.

“We have been part of the Concord community since our very beginning and plan to always be right there with them.”
